EMDR CONSULTATION & CERTIFICATION

​Welcome!

EMDR is an incredibly powerful therapy and can bring about many questions whether you are new to using EMDR or have been practicing for years. Consultation can provide you with a supportive, confidential, and creative space to land and explore what’s on your mind and in your practice. In the beginning, as you are integrating EMDR into your therapy practice, you may feel yourself stretching far out of your comfort zone! I encourage you to not stay stuck or confused and to reach out for support -there will be answers. 
 


My journey with practicing EMDR started in 2013 when I began organizing the Basic and Advanced EMDR trainings in Victoria, BC. Over the course of time, I focussed on becoming a Certified EMDR Therapist and then an EMDRIA Approved Consultant. Since 2015, I have been facilitating practicums and providing consultation for Basic EMDR trainings in Canada and for virtual trainings extending across North America for colleagues moving through the basic training. I also provide individual and group consultation for those who have completed basic training, for those wanting to become a certified therapist and/or consultant and for anyone who would like to discuss their practice. I also offer book clubs for those who would like to meet and discuss readings as well as cases.

CERTIFICATION​

To become a Certified EMDR Therapist you need to have first completed an Approved Basic Training course. While not a requirement to practice EMDR, taking the step towards certification means that you will deepened your knowledge, master the basic protocol and met the requirements and ethical standards set out by EMDRIA. Your EMDR practice will develop in quality, intention and skill.  Also, if you choose to work towards becoming an EMDRIA  Consultant  I can support as you navigate your journey and develop your niches.
